Literature on peace and war has increased enormously in the past few years. Catholic, Protestant and Jewish scholars are filling books shops with scientific and popular writing on this Number One topic, which people see as being nothing less than a questions of to be or not to be. Why then, this book? Fr Haring wants to open the horizon for the broader, underlying questions. No moral theologian or ethicist has, up to now, given systematic attention to a therapeutic approach, presenting a therapeutic spirituality and strategy. This is what the well known Catholic moral theologian tries to do in this book, hoping that others will take up the theme and develop it.
