John O'Donnell writes from the standpoint that he, and we, think, live and pray within the Roman Catholic tradition a tradition committed to the mystery of the triune God. But the dogmatic definition on the Trinity is a beginning as well as an end: 'the living tradition of the faith of the Church'. His own approach is an open one, aware of the difficulties of Catholics and other Christians, and ready always to enter into dialogue with differing views.
