The Dictionary of Demography

This is dictionary of theories, concepts, techniques and technical terms relating to every aspect of contemporary and historical demography. It is based on Roland Pressat's Dictionnaire de Demographie, first published in 1979 and now a standard reference work. The English edition has been expanded and adapted for an Anglo American audience by Christopher Wilson, with the addition of new entries from a team of some thirty international contributors. The result is a comprehensive source book of information and ideas for all those whose work involves the study of population in the present or the past.
