This book maintains, among other things, that the specifically Christian element in ethics is not to be found in the realm of content but in motivation and empowerment. I hope that the book will make sense to me and women who are not Christian but who, whether they admit the existence of values not of their own making which claim them totally and which have a right to make that claim.
