Arnold J. Toynbee has gathered and translated selections from the writings of Ancient Greeks which illuminate their political thought. Also included are two translations by Gilbert Murray. (Toynbee prepared a companion volume called 'Greek Civilization and Character' which concerns the culture of Greek civilization rather than the politics.)
