Dialogue of Life and Faith
Benny was mainly known through the conferences he gave in all kinds of circumstances, the retreats he gave to innumerable groups, and his radio programs from the time he was in Cebu to the last days of his life. In other words, he was very well known as a speaker, an art in which he excelled both in English and in his native language, Cebuano. In this book we have collected part of what the wrote on the theme of Dialogue. Some were written by him in answer to specific requests. Most were written on notes scattered here and there, often in a sketchy manner. We arranged all this material in chronological order, giving some information also about what he was doing so as to show that he was not only talking and writing about dialogue but was actively engaged in it. There are overlappings, even repetitions, in this book because it is arranged in chronological order but, it has the advantage of showing how Benny evolved and grew deeper and deeper in the understanding of dialogue and what is required for engaging in it.
