We have chosen Dissent in the Church as the topic around which to organize this sixth volume in our Readings in Moral Theology. There are many reasons for this choice. The issue of dissent has touched the Catholic University American Catholic theology and the American church in a very concrete way in the person of one of the co-editors of this series. Decisions that impact this broadly and deeply invite careful study.
