In the Light of the Lamb: Imagery, Parody, and Theology in the Apocalypse of John

In 1966 friends of the late Walter Tuohy, a Cleveland industrialist, established at John Carroll University the Walter and Mary Tuohy Chair of Interreligious Studies, in honor of Mr. Tuohy and his wife, who were both interested in ecumenical activities. The Tuohy Chair has brought to the Campus distinguished scholars to discuss topics of interreligious interest; in the 1984-1985 academic year our guest was Mrs. Sophie Laws of King's College, London and her topic was the Apocalypse a book, which as she notes in her first lecture, has long been a source of controversy among Christians.
