Politics and the Christian Vision
There is a widespread feeling that Christians should keep to spiritual pursuits and not get involved in politics. So politicians, particularly on the right wing, are saying. This book argues persuasively that politics is far too important to be left to politicians, and that Christians have an important role to play, not least in drawing attention to basic values. Nor, the author goes on, can Christian comment be limited to generalizations. Even at the risk of being wrong, it must extend to matters of detail, and be concerned with specific issues. On that basis he explores the whole range of British political, national and International life, not being afraid of hard hitting comment.
