John: Evangelist and Interpreter
The Gospel of John is a Source of Endless Fascination for the student of the New Testament. Its problems deserve and receive constant investigation, and yet its secrets shows no sign of being fully discovered. This not surprising, since in Luther's phrase its in comparably 'simple words' are at the same time inexpressible words. This book is offered as one further attempt to sound the Johannine depths. It is intended primarily for the theological students; but others may find it useful, if only as a stimulus to further discussion and investigation.
