Lay Ministries in the Mission and Ministry of the Church in Asia: A Critical Study of the Documents of the FABC 1970-1991
The Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) is a voluntary association of episcopal conferences in South, South-east and East Asia, established in 1970 on the occasion of Pope Paul VI's visit to the Far-east. Its purpose is to foster among its members solidarity and coresponsibility for the welfare of Church and society in Asia. It has just completed its twentieth anniversary since the approval of its Statutes ad experimentum by His Holiness Pope Paul VI, on November 16, 1972.
