For more than years I have been the general editor of New Testament Abstracs, a scholarly periodical that every year provides brief summaries of about 1,200 articles aand 600 books on the New Testamen. During those years of abstracting and editing. I have from time to time written reports on various topics connected with the church in the New Testament. The issues that I have treated have generally been points at which scientific biblical scholarship and the life of the contemporary church intersect.
