Prayer helps us to clear a path through the jungle of empty, meaningless trivialities with which most of us are now surrounded; it helps us on the path towards that which is true, genuine, lasting and reliable: We must eradicate everything meaningless and trivial in ourselves and in our relations with others and concentrate on those things we shall be able to take with us into eternity.
