The beginning of all successful communication is desire. This desire cannot be vague and negotiable. It has to be a flinthard posture of the will, an inner resolution, a firm promise made to ourselves and to others with whom we are trying to relate. If a person really wants to live, the threat of death can be a powerful motivation. We humans can do unbelievable thins if we are sufficiently motivated.
