Sister Philothea: Relationships Between Women and Roman Catholic Priests
For the Roman hierarchy, relationships between women and priests do not exist; at most they are 'a problem which rarely occurs'. However, all over the world, there is growing evidence that the situation is otherwise, and this attractive and sensitive study adds to that evidence. The author, a Dutch Christian social worker, married and with family, was moved to carry out her own investigation. An advertisement placed in a number of newspapers provoked many replies, and these led to correspondence from and in-depth interviews with women who had relationships with Roman Catholic priests.
