Adore the Lord: Adoration Viewed Through the Old Testament
Father Lussier shares his study and reflection upon the spirit and doctrine of adoration. He has written two volumes, this one on the Old Testament, a subsequent volume on the New Testament. By searching Scripture the author helps us to understand anew some of the biblical sources for popular devotion to the Eucharist. This prompts us to reconsider the aspect of adoration in Eucharistic piety, which in recent times is often waved aside and forgotten. Too often the Eucharist is not viewed as Jesus our God and King to be adored; instead, we think of the Eucharist almost exclusively as food for the journey.
