Apart from Christ himself, no one has spoken more compellingly of the Christian life than has St. Paul. He wrote in unforgettable phrases not only of its triumphs, but of its trials and terrors as well. It is from him that we learn best all that is implied in that 'putting on of Christ' which lies at the heart of the Christian's vocation.
