These meditations serve the reader as stepping stones for further personal reflection on the Scripture texts of the Sunday and weekday masses celebrated during Ordinary Time. Because the Mass texts and prayers are inexhaustible in meaning, readers' reflections will probably differ from my own. No author would claim that his or her book is the final word. That word, i believe, belongs to and comes from those who hear the homilist and/or the reader. If the hearers are stimulated to utter that word either to themselves, to others, or-best of all-to the Lord, these reflections will be worthwhile.
