It is universally recognised that the spiritual life of Christians should constantly draw inspiration from Scripture, secondary sources are no substitute. The purpose of the series Scripture for Meditation is to provide pairs of texts, usually one from the Old Testament and one from the New, Which, when compared and Contrasted, will cast light on each other and disclose a spiritual message. To aid the reader's own meditation, each pair of texts is followed by a reflection, which leads on a prayer.
