The content of this book is the result of the authors' own experiences both in CCD parish programs and in teacher preparation work on the diocesan level. It has become in creasingly evident that if CCD teachers are to achieve any measure of success in their efforts, they must go into the classroom prepared at least minimally for their work. Unfortunately, few parishes are able to insist on diocesan teaching certificates as a prerequisite for CCD teaching.
