Tell My People: A Handbook for Catechists
This book makes some contribution towards ideas for training lay people as catechists for these children who attend non-Catholic schools. But it can also provide suggestions for the experianced teacher in a Catholic school who may be facing in his or her pupils the same barrier of materialism and indifference at home. Each sample lesson is worked out only once. The ten lessons on God, for example, as developed in these pages, are aimed at juniors. But they can, by adaptation, provide material for adolescents. A catechist searching for ideas a lesson for juniorss on, say, the need to worship God, could look at the lessons on worship for infants and develop the same basic ideas at a different psychological level.
