The Social Thought of the World Council of Churches
The present survey is an investigation of the Ecumenical Movement's criticism of the economic order, the political institutions and the international developments of our times. It is not a theological study. The theological premises and implications of the organized effort to achieve ecclesiastical unity, engagig the hopes of most of the Protestant churches and winning the qualified collaboration of some Orthodox groups, have been examined in an extensive, if some what specialized, literature.
