The Catholic Church in South Africa: From its Origins to the Present Day
WILLIAM ERIC BROWN, a priest of the archdiocese of Glasgow and the author of this book, spent the last eleven years of his life in South Africa and died there on 28 november 1957 at the age of sixty-four. He had retired to that country in 1946 in the hope of finding better health in a warmer climate, and spent his years there largely in the preparation of this work.
