This book does not pretend to make a scientific contribution to the consideration of the Church. It does not seek to further theological research now in progress. Its is not the fruit of meditation on ideas or of reflection on texts. It is born of life. Let us not expect of it an ordered and complete exposition of the structure and the life of the church, for many essential things would be missing. We have simply wished to bring out the testimony of a man who works in the Church and who seeks to understand what he is doing by discovering what she is.
