All religious education is formation in Christ, given to make 'faith become living, conscious and active, through the light of instruction'. Religious education is proclaiming to others the Gospel of the risen Lord, while showing that this 'Good News' alone gives meaning to life. So the faith, prayer and lived example of the teacher are of great importance.
