The liturgical celebrations that make up this book are tentative efforts, attempts at formulation and articulation nothing more nor less. At their worst, they will net in word and gesture only the personal concerns and feelings of the author; at their best, they will hopefully enter into harmony with the often unspoken heart of God's people.
