The Interpretation of the Bible in the Church
From what has been said in the course of this long account-admittedly far too brief on a number of points-the first conclusion that emerges is that biblical exegesis fulfills, in the Church and in the word, an indispensable task. To attempt to by-pass it when seeking to understand the bible would be to create an illusion and display lack of respect for the inspired Scripture.
