The design and plan of the work now published may be very briefly indicated. There exists at the present time no Concordance to the text of the Greek Testament as exhibited in modern critical editions. The standard work of C.H. Bruder is, for all practical purposes, based entirely on the Textus Receptus. And although it is true in its latest form, as issued in 1888, it professes to embody the principal readings of Tregelles and of Westcott and Hort, the result is unsatisfactory and incomplete; as would probably be readily acknowledged by any one who has made habitual use of this edition.
