In this work, which is based on lectures given at John Carroll University, Cleveland, I set myself the aim of treating the relationship between Palestinian Judaism and the New Testament in a manner reasonably intelligible to the average reader while at the same time concentrating on those aspects of the subject which are novel, new or less well known, or which tend to be neglected in the current discussion of the matter.
