The Whole World Will Love Me: The Life of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face (1873-1897)
The Whole World Will Love Me is probably the best biography of St. Therese The Little Flower that has ever been written, because it links all the elements of her life into one intimate, flowing and absolutely enthralling story of her whom St. Pius X (1903-1914) called The Greatest Saint of Modern Times. For it tells the inspiring story of her beautiful holy mother; her noble and pious father; her great and generous sisters all of whom entered the convent; plus of course her own story from her infancy to hear early entrance into Carmel at 15 to her untimely death in the convent at only age 24 having been a nun already for nine years. Pivotal to the life of St. Therese are two great devotions: the Holy Face devotion and one that St. Therese herself pioneered The Little Way of Spiritual Childhood" a devotional way of life whereby a person offers himself or herself totally a God as an act of love an oblation in imitation of our Divine Saviour who sacrificed His Life in an incredible act of love in His incomparable Passion and Death. By her "Little Way" St. Therese has taught the world an easy way to Heaven and to great sanctity. But there is even more to her story which Dorothy Scallan so beautifully interweaves in this narrative."
