The Temple: Its Ministry and Services as They Were at the Time of Christ
The life of Jesus Christ was intimately associated with the Temple. There He was brought when a babe. There He confounded the learned scribes when He was but twelve years old. At His death the Veil in the Temple was rent. So intimate was this connection that the reader of the New Testament cannot fully appreciate the facts recorded in the Gospels, nor the great number of illustions in the Epistles, especially the imagery of The Revelation, unless he has a conscious grasp of the real significance of the physical presence, rituals, and special services of the Temple.
