The Schillebeeckx Reader
Edward Schillebeeckx can be counted among the most important Roman Catholic theologians of the twentieth century. Over a period of forty years, in some four hundred publications, he has addressed a wide range of theological questions with astonishing breadth and depth. Although Schillebeeckx enjoys a large popular following, even theologians admit that his work is not always easy to read because of the immensity of his erudition and the density of his style. The purpose of the Schillebeeckx Reader is to make his thought more accessible both to the general reader and the student.
