The Living Christ: In Christ through Scripture and Liturgy
He explores, in the liturgy, the Scriptures and the writings of the Fathers, some of the great events of Christ's life: the baptism, temptation, transfiguration, passion, resurrection and ascension. These event were not limited to Christ's own life. Rather, in them is a vital force that comes to us through the Church, through the liturgy and through our private prayer. They are not just 'examples' for us to follow in a externalist way but sources of life that are always available to us. Through these events, the Risen Christ still speaks to us: when they are celebrated as liturgical feasts that life is communicated to us if we approach Christ with open hearts in faith and love.
