The Early Church in the Acts of the Apostles and in their Writings, has dual purpose: (1) To make known the history, life and teaching of the primitive Church of the Apostolic Age. (2) To explain in their historical context the teachings of the Apostles, particularly those contained in their Letters, which today are once more being offered to the faithful in the biblical readings of the Liturgy.
