Paul the Apostle and His Cities
Saul of Tarsus, who become Paul the Apostle, was a controversial figure in his own time and remains so today. He was Jew, Greek, Roman citizen and Christian, all at the same time. Paul is often a puzzle to Jewish people and also to Christians. This book is an attempt to introduce him as a traveler, a pioneer missionary and a creative religious thinker, in the setting of his age and the places where he lived and worked. We may be able to understand, if not to solve, the apparent contradictions in his personality.
