Christ is Community: The Christologies of the New Testament

The starting point of this book is the acknowledgement that in the New Testament there is diversity in the way Jesus is portrayed. Mark calls Jesus the Son of Man, Matthews names him the Servant, John calls him Lord and God. Paul depicts him as the new or second Adam. Ephesians and Colossians designate Jesus as the Head of the body which is the Church. It is a simple fact that the New Testament contains many and diverse images of Jesus.
