The author succeeds in a refreshing way to rethink moral theology in view of the needs of our time. His presentation is clear, concise, and easy to grasp. Above all, he presents an outline of Christian ethic which for the first time integrates the teaching and directives of Vatican II. The book will help both teacher and students to winnow out some of the confusion which has followed the gradual disappearance of the manualist or textbook treatment of former times. The author rightly appreciates the necessity of keeping in touch with the sources of Christian revelation. His conclusions are modestly shrewd and undeviatingly just (The Universe).
