Something more than coincidence lay behind the fact that this symposium, Christian Faith in a Religiously Plural World, took place on the campus of Washington and Lee University Lexington Virginia and that its major sessions were held in Lee Chapel. As the university's president Robert E.R. Huntley is accustomed to note at the annual baccalaureate service the university began in the study of a minister and the religious impulse has been a powerful influence on this campus.
