The world, struggling with its impairments, seeks relief and hopes to feel good. But maturing Christians, hungry for a deeper relationship with God and more acutely aware of deficits, long for change. Others, such as those who grieve or suffer as we see those we love suffer, we know they must change, and so we pray. Some of us counsel, hope to see those we work with change, and seek the skill to help them change. We each, then, can read this book in three ways; as a casual observer interested in Christianity and change; from the standpoint of the one being counseled and from the perspective of one who counsels or desires to learn how to. Ultimately, Christianity and Change is meant for counselors.
