This volume contains papers presented at a consultation held in New Delhi, November 22-26 1988 in preparation for the first World Communication Congress to be held in Manila, Philippines in October 1989, by the World Association for Christian Communication, London, (WACC), the theme of the congress being Communication for Community. Groups of people on all continents have been discussing the issues relating to achieving and living in community in today's world and the crucial role of communication especially the Christian responsibility in this task. As part of this preparation process the New Delhi consultation was held by the Asia Region WACC with the assistance of the ISPCK (Indian Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge) a publishing bookselling organisation which is a corporate member of the WACC.
