Critique of the Gotha Programme
The present edition of Marx's Notes on the Programme of the German Workers Party (Critique of the Gotha Programme) includes a number of chapters from Lenin's The State and Revolution which deal directly with the Critique and extracts from Lenin's note book Marxism on the State. The text of the draft of the so-called Gotha Programme is also given. This programme was put before the Congress held in Gotha (May 22-27 1875) which united the Social Democratic Workers Party of Germany (the so-called Eisenachers) led by W. Liebknecht and Bebel and the General Assosiation of German Workers which had been founded by Lassalle.
