Deism, as an intellectual movement, was of great importance in the formation of the philosophy of the Enlightenment and in the total scope of cultural history. The aim of this anthology, by making available these selections, is to enable the student to grasp the full meaning of the deist debate, its consequences and its significance in the development of the Western mind.
