Structural Exegesis for New Testament Critics
The methodology of structural exegesis, which is often perceived as technical and complex by non practitioners, is here presented without the use of technical vocabulary and composed into six clearly defined and repeatedly illustrated steps that can be easily followed. Using an inductive and concrete (rather than theoretical) presentation, Patte clarifies the method of structural exegesis through a series of examples: the detailed structural exegesis of John 3:1-21 and an additional structural exegesis of John 4:4-42 and Luke 10:21-42.
