In this volume are gathered the papers prepared by an important number of scholars from different continents, nations, universities and cultures in view of the Symposium on Demographic politics from a Christian view point a comparative study which took place in Rio de Janeiro from the 27th till the 30th September 1982, through eth initiative of IFCU. The communications are presented here in five parts; 1. a reminder of the content of the Church's Magisterium (to which the Catholic who undertakes research must remain faithful) and of the task of reflection intrinsic to Catholic Universities; 2. an inventory of situations at world level; 3. a methodological approach; 4. correlations between demographic policy and economic and social development; 5. some particular responsibilities.
