A Theology of Force and Violence
In a long life, the remarkable author of this controversial book has had varied experience in many parts of the world: in the American south, in pre-War Nazi Germany, in the Second World War in France and Belgium in 1940, in India and Burma during 1942-5, and in Australia as a Head of a Bush Brotherhood and as Headmaster of two Bush Brotherhood schools. He has been twice to South Africa, has visited Israel and Palestine and has spent much time in Ireland. He has written the book because he is driven by a passionate sense of justice, to be rendered in love, and by the conviction that the establishment of justice must be fought for if it cannot bo achieved by any other means.
