This volume is the fruit of a series of seminar workshops and sharing sessions on the Dynamics of Development within the context of the Philippine experience held in the summer of school year 1980. Associate Dean Julita R. Sta Romana of the Social Sciences, with four chairpersons, Ma. Corona S. Romeo history, Expedito Jimenez philosophy, Minda Luz S. Lorredo political science, and Isabel Panopio sociology conceived of having a course on Development intended to synthesize concepts, theories and principles acquired in the Social Science and apply these to Philippine social realities. This volume as intended to make students really aware and conscious of their society and make them able to reflect critically on various social issues.
