Blessed Rage for Order: The New Pluralism in Theology
That the present situation in theology is one of an ever-increasing pluralism is by now a truism. That such a pluralist condition enriches the possibilities for theology would seem at least equally clear and true. For a theologian to accept the present pluralism as a state of pure enrichment, of gratuitous and untarnished blessing, is another matter entirely. Certainly, he richness of imagination which these various theologies, these several ways of envisioning the world, offer to the theologian can be counted pure gain.
