Why Narrative? Readings in Narrative Theology
This book began in a class and we hope that it will be useful for classes. The originating class was a graduate seminar on practical reason and personal identity offered in 1986. The intuitive idea behind the course is that these issues involved a narrative display. During that seminar we became convinced that there was something to this intuition, but that most of the literature about narrative was insufficiently critical. Therefore, we began to plan an anthology that would include the best essays in narrative and theology we could find.
