Environmental Ethics: An Introduction with Readings
Environmental Ethics: An Introduction with Readings is an introductory textbook on ethical issues about the environmental and our involvement with it. Presupposing no prior knowledge of philosophy, John Benson introduces the reader to one fundamental questions, whether a concern with human well-being is an adequate basis for environmental ethics. The book explores this question by considering some of the techniques that have been used to value the environmental and by critically examining 'light green' to 'deep green' environmental. Each chapter is then helpfully linked to one or more readings from key thinkers in the field, and with the use of exercise readers are encouraged to think critically about the readings themselves.
