This commentary presents, in clear and straightforward language, the lines of thought which constitute the epistle to the Ephesians, and discusses its problems and their probable solutions. Mitton make use of past and present research to shed light on the various points at issue, such as the relationship of this epistle to the other Pauline writings and particularly Colossians, possible connections with Gnostic ideas and the Qumran community, the theory of its dependence on liturgical elements, and the questions of authorship.
